Scholarships

A Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) is an Oklahoma non-profit that helps PreK–12 students attend accredited private schools. Donors give to an SGO and receive an Oklahoma state income tax credit of up to 75% of their gift. The SGO then uses those gifts to provide tuition scholarships.

Owasso Preparatory Academy participates in three SGOs. When you give through any of them and designate Owasso Preparatory Academy, you are investing directly in OPA students and families by helping make a Christ-centered education more accessible.

Your generosity does more than provide financial assistance—it invests in students, strengthens families, and helps OPA continue preparing students to grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

You don’t have to be an OPA parent to give. Friends and family, including grandparents, who pay Oklahoma income tax can give and receive the same tax credit.

A one-year commitment earns a 50% credit. A two-year commitment earns a 75% credit. These are the gift amounts that earn the maximum credit:

Give by December 31 for a credit on this year’s Oklahoma tax return. Unused credits carry forward up to 3 years. Please consult your tax professional about your situation.

Choose any one of the SGOs below. Whichever you choose, be sure to designate Owasso Preparatory Academy as the school you are supporting.

Give online by credit card or bank transfer, or by check, stock, or IRA distribution. Use the OPA donor form so your gift is designated for Owasso Preparatory Academy.

Checks mailed to OSF must be POSTMARKED by December 31.

The Oklahoma Partners in Academics (OPA) Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for students at participating accredited private schools. Give online through their secure donation form, or by check payable to OPA Scholarship Fund. You’ll receive a written acknowledgment for your tax records.

1. Pick an SGO. Choose one of the three SGOs above.
2. Give online or by check. Designate Owasso Preparatory Academy as the school you want to support.
3. Claim your credit. File Oklahoma Form 511-CR with your state tax return.

• One shared pool. Every gift goes to OPA’s shared scholarship fund, not to any one student.
• No designated gifts. By law, a parent may not designate a donation for their own family’s scholarship.
• Our policy decides. Awards follow OPA’s scholarship policy, treating all similarly situated families equally. Families who give may still apply.
